Specify Valves for Copper-Processing Duty
For concentrators, tailings, reagent circuits and process-water systems, start with the fluid or slurry and whether the valve isolates or controls. Pipe size alone is not enough to select a valve.

Information for a Slurry-Valve Enquiry
- Medium, chemical composition, solids content, particle size and slurry density where applicable.
- Normal and maximum flow, pressure, differential pressure and temperature.
- Isolation or control duty, required shutoff performance and operating frequency.
- Pipe size, flange or connection standard, face-to-face dimensions and installation orientation.
- Manual, pneumatic or electric operation; available supplies, control signal and required failure position.
- Existing nameplate and drawings, quantity, documentation and delivery destination.
For acid, electrolyte or reagent service, confirm material and seal compatibility against composition, concentration, contaminants and temperature. Do not select stainless steel, a polymer lining or a sleeve solely from the plant-area description.
Knife gate or pinch valve for slurry?
Either may be considered for particular duties. Selection depends on the slurry, pressure, required shutoff or control performance, sleeve or seat compatibility and maintenance requirements. Send the actual operating conditions.
Can a valve be supplied with an actuator and positioner?
FSZ can assess a coordinated package. Specify the control signal, available air or electrical supply, torque or thrust requirement, failure position and any feedback requirements. Confirm the final package in the quotation.
Can you provide a direct replacement?
Send the existing nameplate, connection standard, face-to-face dimensions, photographs and operating duty. FSZ will assess a replacement proposal; fit and performance must be confirmed before ordering.
