Air Headers & Air Distribution Manifolds
Instrument-air distribution manifolds for Zambia’s copper-mining and processing plants, with outlet isolation, connection and mounting options selected for the project. Condensate and seal pots are also available for their separate instrument duties.
Range & Configurations
- Air header manifolds
- Outlet isolation valves
- Condensate pots
- Seal pots
- Sludge vessels
- Mounting and drain options

Selection & Technical Information
Specify outlet count, inlet and outlet connections, materials, valve arrangement and documentation. Engineered assemblies must be matched to the project design conditions.
Typical Applications
- Instrument air distribution
- Process skids
- Pressure measurement
What to Include in Your Enquiry
Drawing or outlet schedule, design pressure and temperature, material and testing requirements.
EN 10204 Type 3.1 certification is standard for this product range. Type 3.2 certification must be requested before manufacture.

Can FSZ help identify a replacement?
Yes. Provide the product marking, dimensions, connections and service details. We will check the proposed selection before quotation.
Is this range stocked in Zambia?
Local stockholding is planned to support Zambian requirements. Our team confirms local or regional availability and delivery for the exact items requested.
Instrument-Air Distribution for Copper Mining
An air header manifold distributes a common instrument-air supply to multiple branches. In a copper-processing plant, the enquiry may cover pneumatic instruments, valve actuators or local control panels. FSZ helps define the outlet schedule and assembly requirements for the actual installation.
| Plant area | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Concentrators and flotation areas | Instrument-air branches for pneumatic control equipment and actuator packages. Identify each consumer and its required supply conditions. |
| Thickeners and tailings areas | Local instrument-air distribution to pneumatic devices, where specified by the plant design. Include mounting and environmental requirements. |
| Reagent and process skids | Branch connections for pneumatic valves and control panels. Confirm materials for the installation environment. |
| Maintenance and shutdown replacements | Existing assembly dimensions, inlet and outlet positions, valve arrangement, mounting centres and documentation. |
These are instrument-air applications. Flotation process-air duty and its flow requirements must be assessed separately; an instrument-air header is not automatically suitable for that service.
Configuration and enquiry checklist
- Outlet count and branch schedule, including any planned spare outlets.
- Supply pressure, design pressure and temperature, and required flow for the connected equipment.
- Inlet and outlet sizes, BSP or NPT connection details, orientation and mounting dimensions.
- Material requirements, outlet isolation valves and specified drain or vent arrangements.
- Required air preparation, pressure regulation and connections to the existing instrument-air system.
- Approval drawing, material traceability, testing and certification requirements to be agreed with the quotation.
- Quantity, site destination and required-on-site date.
Available configurations and project-specific assemblies are confirmed against the enquiry. Pressure ratings and documentation apply to the selected design.

Air header questions
Are air headers and air distribution manifolds the same product?
These terms are commonly used for an assembly that distributes a common air supply to multiple outlets. Confirm the actual configuration, connections and design conditions rather than relying on the name alone.
Can an existing copper-plant header be matched?
Send photographs, a drawing or measurements, the outlet schedule, material, design conditions and mounting details. FSZ will check the proposed replacement configuration before quotation.
Does the header replace filters or pressure regulators?
The header distributes the supply. Specify any required filtration and pressure regulation separately so the complete arrangement matches the connected equipment’s requirements.
Are condensate pots part of the air distribution header?
Condensate pots and seal pots are separate instrument products. Specify their pressure-measurement duty independently from the instrument-air header.
