Can FSZ help identify a replacement?
Yes. Provide the product marking, dimensions, connections and service details. We will check the proposed selection before quotation.
Is this range stocked in Zambia?
Local stockholding is planned to support Zambian requirements. Our team confirms local or regional availability and delivery for the exact items requested.
Choose the Instrument Valve by Function
For a copper-processing project, identify whether the instrument connection needs isolation, flow adjustment, non-return protection or a specified venting arrangement. Select the model and materials against the actual service conditions.
| Type or requirement | Selection guidance |
|---|---|
| Needle valve | Isolation and fine adjustment in suitable instrument and sample lines; check the model’s intended duty. |
| Ball valve | Quarter-turn on/off isolation; confirm bore, pressure-temperature limits and seat compatibility. |
| Check valve | Non-return duty; specify flow direction, required cracking pressure and allowable pressure loss. |
| Relief valve | Pressure-relief duty within the selected model’s specified range. Confirm capacity, set-pressure arrangement and applicable protection requirements. |
| Metering valve | Controlled adjustment of small flows in suitable analyser and sample systems. |
| Bleed valve | A specified vent or test connection. Confirm the discharge destination and maintenance procedure. |
Zambian Plant Enquiries
Examples include transmitter connections in concentrators, analyser and sample systems, instrument-air branches, and utility instrumentation. Identify the actual fluid and operating conditions; a plant-area name does not establish material suitability.
What to Include
- Valve function, fluid composition, operating and maximum pressure, temperature and required flow.
- Body, seat and seal requirements; tube-fitting or threaded end details.
- Existing manufacturer and part number, photographs and dimensions for replacement enquiries.
- Quantity, site destination and required inspection documents.
Needle valve or ball valve for transmitter isolation?
Confirm the instrument manufacturer’s requirements and the operating procedure. Needle valves can provide gradual adjustment, while ball valves provide quarter-turn isolation. Suitability depends on the selected model and duty.
Can a relief valve be supplied preset?
State the required set pressure, service and documentation in the enquiry. FSZ will confirm the setting and test arrangements available for the selected model before quotation.
Can the end connections match our existing tubing?
Send the tube outside diameter, metric or inch sizing system, material and fitting manufacturer, or the exact port thread. FSZ will check the proposed connection.
